Months after the infamous leak broke news of everything from God of War’s PC port to Chrono Cross: The Radical Dreamers Edition, it appears that another unannounced game included in the “unofficial” list is coming out again. According to a recent SteamDB entry, Housemarque’s PS5 exclusive, Returnal, is headed to the PC platform next, at least via Steam. VGC points out that Oregon, the codename for the listing, refers to Returnal....

According to multiple sources, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman wants to sink $38 billion into the video game industry, with $13 billion dedicated specifically to the purchase of a “leading game publisher.” The Crown Prince will leave the investments in the hands of Savvy Games Group, a fully-owned subsidiary of Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund. Sonic Frontiers launched to “mixed or average reviews” from critics but in spite of this, the game is doing extremely well on Steam. The open-world platformer has been met with very positive reviews from players on the PC platform with a 91% approval rating. Sonic Frontiers also smashed the record for most concurrent players on Steam less than a week after the game launched. The previous record holder for the most concurrent players for a Sonic game was Sonic Mania which was released in 2017....
According to Sony, the PSVR2 will come out in “early 2023.” What’s interesting about Sony’s latest announcement is that it came with little fanfare. We didn’t get a State of Play or even a PlayStation Blog post. Instead, all Sony did was post a photo of the PSVR2 on Instagram, saying “Coming early 2023.” This is in line with analyst claims back in May. The Japanese tech giant has been so secretive about the PSVR2, so it’s nice to hear some official news straight from the horse’s mouth....
But, it appears that we’re not done with gaming deals just yet. Sony, in particular, has purchased a substantial stake in the Kadokawa Corp subsidiary, FromSoftware. Tencent, one of the biggest companies in China, also bought a stake in the studio through its subsidiary, SixJoy Hongkong Ltd. Sony has purchased 14.09% of FromSoftware while Tencent has acquired 16.25%. Kadokawa Corp still owns a majority of the game developer with a 69....
For some reason, Sony decided to apply an update that “improves system performance” for the third straight time. The 21.02-04.50.00 update, which Sony released just today, read the same way as versions 21.02-04.03.00 and 21.02-04.02.00. When is Sony going to release a bigger PS5 update? The last time Sony released a major PS5 update was back in September 2021. The version 21.02-04.00.00 patch made several modifications to the console manufacturer’s latest console, including the SSD expansion, the home screen, and the 3D audio....
