Developed by Black Forest Games and to be published by THQ Nordic, Reprobed seems to be a graphical remaster which retains just about everything else about the original Destroy All Humans! 2, so we’re not looking at a full-on remake that risks losing the charm of the source material.

It isn’t clear when the game will launch - the trailer does not include a release date - or what platforms it will be released on, however the end of the video sports a lot of PlayStation branding, so it is definitely going to appear on Sony’s console. The Destroy All Humans! 2 remaster was also spoiled by the infamous Nvidia data leak that’s been a bit of a hot topic lately, so a PC version is possible despite the original only being a console title. Destroy All Humans! 2 actually contains a surprising amount of saving humans, despite what the title might imply. The whimsical and comedic game which blatantly parodies a number of clichéd fiction tropes, including many from the James Bond franchise and popular culture, stars Crypto. Crypto is an alien clone sporting the iconic ’little gray man’ designs and all sorts of advanced technology with which he must foil a shadowy conspiracy involving spies and Soviet doomsday devices. Set across a handful of independent, smaller open world locations which can be explored in between missions. There are also collectibles and mini-games to try out when you’re not advancing with the main story. Destroy All Humans! 2 was warmly received back in 2006, and the series has a dedicated fanbase and cult following even today, with the humor and whimsical tone being fondly remembered in the broader gaming community. We’re eager to see the actual reveal, in case it announces when Destroy All Humans! 2 Reprobed will launch, and on what platforms.
