What’s even more amazing is that the more we see of Cobra Kai, the more familiar faces that make an unlikely reappearance. Case in point, Yuji Okumoto’s Chozen Toguchi, who, in the latest trailer for Cobra Kai Season 5, has decided to team up with Johnny. Yes. You read that right. This is the Miyagiverse’s equivalent of Thanos and Kang teaming up against Galactus. Netflix dropped a surprise trailer when it confirmed the release date for the upcoming season in May. Surprisingly enough, Sean Kanan’s Mike Barnes is absent from the official trailer. The other antagonist from The Karate Kid Part III appeared in the first images for Season 5. We’re assuming that he and Silver are still in cahoots, but after everything we’ve seen in Cobra Kai, anything can happen. Who knows? Maybe Mike has arrived at the valley to help out Chozen and Johnny against his former mentor only to turn against all three of them. Now, wouldn’t that be something? In any case, we won’t have to wait for long to find out what awaits us in Cobra Kai Season 5. The next season of the action-packed karate series will debut on September 9 on Netflix.
