Five years later, Mario + Rabbids 2: Sparks of Hope is set to come out and we might know when. Technically, Ubisoft nor Nintendo has confirmed when the Mario + Rabbids follow-up will hit the market. But, if we believe an errant Ubisoft Store listing, Sparks of Hope will come out on October 20. Ubisoft eventually took down the page, but not before several audiences caught a glimpse and posted the proof on the internet.
— Nibel (@Nibellion) June 27, 2022 Coincidentally, the listing went “online” less than 24 hours after Nintendo confirmed it will hold a Nintendo Direct Mini: Partner Showcase on the 28th. This would suggest we will see the collaborative effort between the two companies at the said event. The release date is also in line with a recent report suggesting that Mario + Rabbids 2 is aiming for a holiday 2022 launch. If, in case, we don’t see Mario + Rabbids 2: Sparks of Hope at the upcoming Nintendo Direct Mini exhibition, don’t worry. Ubisoft has announced that it will be at Gamescom 2022 in August. Speaking of Nintendo, the company’s late 2022 slate for the Nintendo Switch is wide open after delaying The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild sequel to 2023. Most likely, Nintendo intends to fill it with third-party titles like No Man’s Sky and Dying Light 2, along with a few first-party exclusives like Pokemon Scarlet & Violet as well as the long-rumored Metroid Prime remaster.
