With that said, fans eagerly await updates about a potential fourth Riddick film from the movie’s main star and it appears that things are looking good for the future of the franchise.
Is Diesel going to work on Riddick 4 soon?
Earlier this year, Diesel talked about a potential Riddick game and a sequel. Then, a few months later, Diesel dropped a tease on his Instagram account, which suggested that talks for a fourth Riddick film are finally gaining traction. Now, Diesel took to Instagram once again to talk about how he had a “Great Riddick meeting” before thanking Universal for “always believing” in Riddick and that he’s “very excited” about the news that he just heard. Unfortunately, the Fast and Furious actor stopped short of confirming just how exactly the Riddick meeting with Universal Pictures went. With that said, it was probably only a matter of time before Diesel came back and revisited some of his older franchises. Diesel is the anchor to at least three big film franchises in xXx, Riddick, and Fast and Furious. Of course, everyone knows about his high-octane big-budget series of films, with the latest installment coming in 2023, but with Fast and Furious coming to an end soon, Diesel finally has time to devote to working on other films. In addition to a fourth Riddick film, we also can’t rule out the possibility of a fourth xXx film as well if Diesel wants to do it. At the end of the day, Diesel hasn’t confirmed anything nor has Universal Pictures. All we have to go on is Diesel playing coy and his cryptic posts. Until anything is announced, we should try to keep our expectations low. But, if we could wish for something, we’re hoping that Diesel works on a new Riddick game after the success of the first two, which we ranked as some of the best movie tie-in video games ever released.
